The designated postal operator of Peru has advised that the delivery of EMS service may be delayed due a strike since 17 July 2012.

El Salvador – Interruption of outbound mail processing
The designated postal operator of El Salvador has advised that, owing to certain problems at the exchange office located at El Salvador International Airport, the processing of outbound mail (parcels, EMS and LC/AO) has been interrupted since 11 July 2012.

Russian Federation – Flooding
The designated postal operator of the Russian Federation has advised that mail handling and deliveries in the Krasnodar Krai region are currently subject to delays as a result of flooding.
The postcodes of the post offices where delays are possible are as follows:

Uruguay – Delays with outbound mail
The designated postal operator of El Salvador has advised that the strike by customs staff ended on Tuesday, 3 July 2012, and mail services have now returned to normal.

El Salvador – End of customs strike
The designated postal operator of Uruguay has advised that flights through the Pluna airline have been indefinitely suspended. As a result, outbound mail from Uruguay will be delayed for a few days.

United Kingdom – Slight Delays For EMS
There will be delays of up to 2 working days for delivery to several UK cities* due to the Olympic Games and Paralympic Games. The Olympics start on 27 July and end 12 August, followed by the Paralympic Games from 29 August to 9 September. Delays are expected from as early as 15 July when the Olympic Games Village opens. Addressees staying at the Olympic Games Village have to self-collect their EMS and Parcel items from post offices in the vicinity as access to the Village is only granted to the official logistics partner UPS.
2 July 2012 Hong Kong, China – Typhoon
The designated postal operator of Hong Kong, China informs that a typhoon reached the territory on the evening of Friday, 29 June 2012. This will affect the processing of inward and outward mail items and domestic deliveries until Monday, 2 July 2012.
