Syrian – Difficulties in meeting postal obligations
The designated postal operator of the Syrian Arab Republic informs that, given the difficult situation in the country at present, it is finding it difficult to meet its international postal obligations.
Syrian Post wishes to assure that any failure to meet quality standards and performance requirements is due to a force majeure situation, rather than any neglect on its part. It will provide updates on any new developments.
5 April 2012 Bhutan – Local Holidays from 4 to 6 April The designated postal operator of Bhutan has advised that there will be a delay delivery to Tshimasham, Gedu and Phuentsholing from 4 to 6 April due to local holidays.
4 April 2012 Zimbabwe – Resumption of all outbound services The designated postal operator of Zimbabwe informs that the technical challenges which were being experienced by Zimbabwe Posts in making up dispatches, owing to migration from IPS version 4.24 to version 5.12, have been resolved, and normal services have resumed.
2 April 2012 Spain –Delivery delay due to industrial action The designated postal operator of Spain has advised that due to a general strike on 29 and 30 March 2012, there will be some delays in the delivery of mail.
