Mandatory CPSC eFiling Requirement for U.S. Imports Effective 8 July 2026
Effective 8 July 2026, the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) will implement mandatory eFiling for all imported products regulated by the CPSC.
Under this new requirement, importers must provide the required Certificate of Compliance (CoC) information at the time of customs entry into the United States. This information will be electronically submitted through the CPSC Participating Government Agency (PGA) message set in the U.S. Customs Automated Commercial Environment (ACE).
Products Affected
This requirement applies to finished consumer products regulated by the CPSC that require certification under 16 CFR Part 1110.
Examples of affected products include, but are not limited to:
- Children's products and toys
- Household electrical appliances
- Furniture and furnishings
- Sports and recreational equipment
- Other CPSC-regulated consumer products
Information Required
As a result, QS International Postal shipments destined for the United States and U.S. territories may be affected.
For products requiring CPSC eFiling, customers must provide the following information:
- Product ID
- Certifier ID
- Product Version
Failure to provide the required information may result in customs entry delays, shipment holds, cargo examinations, and requests for additional documentation, which may impact the timely clearance of your shipments.
