Valid IOSS Required for International Postal Shipments to AT, BG, DK & DE from 1 July 2026

Effective 1 July 2026, the postal operators of Austria (AT), Bulgaria (BG), Denmark (DK), and Germany (DE) will only accept parcels with a valid IOSS number and a declared value below EUR 150. Under this new requirement, parcels without a valid IOSS number, or parcels with a declared value equal to or exceeding EUR 150, may be held by Customs or returned to the origin.

As a result, QS International Postal shipments destined for Austria (AT), Bulgaria (BG), Denmark (DK), and Germany (DE) may be affected. Customers are advised to ensure that a valid IOSS number is provided and that the declared value complies with the above requirements to avoid shipment delays or returns. We will continue to closely monitor developments with the local postal operators and will provide further updates should there be any changes to the policy.
